Mustangs at Anaheim Convention Center Friday
Men's hoops have a shot at "The Big Dance" -- the NCAA college basketball tournaments. A winning season has put the Mustangs at the Big West tournament in Anaheim this week (March 7-10).
The Mustangs, who won’t play again until Friday against the highest remaining seed, have won six straight and 12 of their last 14 games. Cal Poly has never been seeded higher than No. 4 going into league tournament play.
Going into the tournament, which started Wednesday night, Long Beach State was seeded No. 1, Cal Poly No. 2, Cal State Fullerton No. 3 and UC Santa Barbara No. 4.
The Women's team finished third in the league and play Thursday at noon in Anaheim.
