Cal Poly Artists Display Work in Faculty Triennial Exhibition Through Oct. 15

SAN LUIS OBISPO — A variety of artwork created by Cal Poly Art & Design faculty is on display through Thursday, Oct. 15, in the University Art Gallery on campus. The public is invited to attend a special closing reception, at 5 p.m., Oct. 15, during which refreshments will be served and the artists will discuss their work.

The monthlong exhibition takes place every three years and showcases new work in a range of disciplines, including graphic design, water and oil paintings, published work, drawing and sculpture in various media, photography and video.

“This exhibition represents the depth and breadth of Cal Poly’s Art & Design Department,” said Garet Zook, University Art Gallery coordinator and curator of the show. “It's a great opportunity for our new students to see work from the artists with whom they will be studying.”

Art appreciators throughout the Central Coast are invited to view the exhibition, which provides one of the best opportunities to see some of the finest artists in the community in one place.

The University Art Gallery is open daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about the exhibition, email Garet Zook at gzook@calpoly.edu or call 805-756-1571 or visit the University Art Gallery website at www.artgallery.calpoly.edu/.
