Cal Poly Logging Team to Compete on Campus Oct. 24

SAN LUIS OBISPO — Cal Poly’s logging team, an intercollegiate team of male and female students involved in traditional forestry field skills, will compete in the annual collegiate logging competition from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, on campus.
The Cal Poly Loggers will host the all-day Cal Conclave, which brings competitors from UC Berkeley and Northern Arizona University.
Events, which are free and open to the public, include chopping, chain sawing, dendrology, axe throwing, pole climbing and more. 

The Cal Conclave will be held from at the Logging Unit off Stenner Creek Road. Attendees are asked to park at the H1 parking lot off Mount Bishop Road. Shuttles will run between the competition grounds and the parking lot every 20 minutes starting at 6:45 a.m.
