Cal Poly’s Annual CultureFest Set for Oct. 17

SAN LUIS OBISPO — Cal Poly’s CultureFest, showcasing the cultural diversity within the university and San Luis Obispo community, is set from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, on Dexter Lawn.

This annual festival, hosted by the university’s Multicultural Center (MCC), celebrates and advocates cultural diversity through student displays, cultural performances, live music, food and more. This year’s theme is “Carnaval!”

The public is invited to the free, family-friendly event, which also features a children’s area with a bounce house and arts and crafts.

Cal Poly’s MultiCultural Center supports and advocates for underrepresented students by honoring cultural expression, building community, and creating cross-cultural connections. The MCC provides a welcoming space for the Cal Poly community to promote diversity and work towards social justice.
