Get Ready To Go Crazy for ‘Tomato Mania’ Plant Sale April 11-12 at Cal Poly

SAN LUIS OBISPO — More than 65 varieties of tomato plants will be available at the Cal Poly College of Agriculture, Food & Environmental Sciences’ annual Tomato Mania plant sale Saturday and Sunday, April 11-12, at the Poly Plant Shop.
Moonglow, beefsteak, shady lady, Alaskan fancy and a selection of cherry tomato plants are just some of the varieties that will be available during Tomato Mania, an annual Cal Poly student-run enterprise project.
This year the program is directed by a team of six students who have grown more than 5,000 tomato plants from seed to provide home gardeners with quality plants that will produce fresh tomatoes throughout the summer.

The Poly Plant Shop is in the Environmental Horticultural Sciences Building (No. 48) on Via Carta Road off of Highland Drive. It is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. six days a week, Monday through Saturday, with the exception of school holidays.
The plant shop will be open Sunday, April 12, for the tomato plant sale.
