Cal Poly Hosts Director of World-Famous Opera Company for Master Class Feb. 10
SAN LUIS OBISPO – Giorgio Lalov, director and co-founder of Teatro Lirico D'uropa, will present a vocal master class at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10 in the Pavilion of the Performing Arts Center's Christopher Cohan Center.
During the class, several of the Cal Poly Music Department’s leading voice students will perform and be critiqued on their performance. The public is welcome to attend.
As co-founder, Lalov has been involved with Teatro Liroco D'Europa since its inception in the 1980s. It's one of the most successful opera touring companies in both Europe and the U.S.
The free master class is made possible by Cal Poly’s Opera Workshop and is sponsored by the Cal Poly Music Department, College of Liberal Arts and Instructionally Related Activities program. It precedes Teatro Lirico D'Europa's performance of "Die Fledermaus" in the Cohan Center’s Harman Hall at 7 p.m.
The pavilion is accessible through the lobby of the Performing Arts Center.
