Haunted Corn Maze Returns Oct. 30
SAN LUIS OBISPO -- Cal Poly's popular Haunted Corn Maze will start the fright on schedule Friday night despite recent rains.
The Cal Poly Crops Club Haunted Corn Maze is set to run Oct. 30 from 5 to 9 p.m. Families with younger children can take advantage of family hour at the maze -- with less fright -- from 5 to 6 p.m.
Children under five are admitted free; cost is $3 for kids 5 to 12 and $5 for those 13 and older. Children, teens and adults are encouraged to come in costume - ready to be scared.
The planned corn maze was laid flat on the ground and unusable following the recent heavy rain storm. Students from this year's Crops Club went to work after the storm ended and created a new maze in another corn field on campus. "We are back again," said Horticulture and Crop Science Professor Jeff Wong, the club's advisor. "The new maze is more challenging than ever before."
