Cal Poly Club to Present Panel Discussion Nov. 19 on Sustainability in Business

SAN LUIS OBISPO – Cal Poly’s Net Impact Club will host a panel discussion on sustainability in the business environment from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov. 19.

The public is invited to attend the event, which will be held in Philips Hall at the Performing Arts Center.

Senior executives from IBM, Starbucks and Disney will speak on the importance of sustainability as part of the fundamental strategy and fabric of day-to-day activities of a business; leadership and innovative practices that address sustainability and align with economically viable business practices; sustainability within the global market; environmental and social responsibility in supply chain management; and how students can prepare for a rapidly changing business environment.

The panelists will answer audience questions from noon to 12:30 p.m., and there will be time for informal mingling from 12:30 to 1 p.m.

Free coffee will be provided by Starbucks, and there will be a raffle for jump drives from IBM, travel mugs from Starbucks and eco-pencils from Disney.
