in Philadelphia May 10-12
SAN LUIS OBISPO -- A team of Cal Poly students from Cal Poly's Orfalea College of Business is heading to Philadelphia for a national competition May 10-12.
Cal Poly's Students in Free Enterprise Team was among five California college SIFE teams to win honors at the SIFE Western regional championships in Los Angeles recently. The Mustang business students earned a spot at nationals along with regional competitors Azusa Pacific University, La Sierra University, the University of Arizona and the University of La Verne.
The Cal Poly SIFE team will face 137 teams from across the nation at the SIFE USA National Exposition in Philadelphia May 10-12. The teams will present the results of their group outreach projects to panels of business professionals sitting as judges.
The National Champions will then represent the United States at the SIFE World Cup where they will compete against national champion teams from around the world.
