California Education Superintendent Jack O'Connell
Speaking on Campus May 26
SAN LUIS OBISPO -- Jack O’Connell, California's Superintendent of Public Instruction, will be speaking at Cal Poly on May 26 about the current budget crisis, its effects on K-12 education and the future for California schools.
The event will take place at 11 a.m. in Chumash Auditorium on campus; refreshments will be provided. The event is free and open to the public.
O'Connell's presentation is a part of Student Life’s Soup and Substance speaker series. All students, staff and faculty are encouraged to attend.
This is an example of student government’s continued effort to connect Cal Poly with the State Capitol and inform students about the impact of government on our schools.
