Cal Poly Hosts International CubeSat Developers Workshop Through Saturday

WHAT: Sixth Annual International CubeSat Developers Workshop

WHERE: Advanced Technology Center, Bldg 007, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo campus

WHEN: Thurs. and Fri., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sat., 8 a.m. to noon 

Event Information:
The event brings together CubeSat developers from 38 universities worldwide, 35 companies, and eight countries, including Belgium, Columbia, England, Germany, Italy, Spain, Taiwan and Turkey. Visiting organizations include Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NASA, National Science Foundation, SRI International, among others. In all, this event – the largest CubeSat workshop to date – includes over 200 participants.

Participants are sharing knowledge and experience in developing small satellites, known as “picosatellites,” which are extremely cost effective. From cutting edge designs to lessons learned, the workshops provide valuable insight for both new and current members of the international CubeSat community. The event is free and open to members of the media.
