Cal Poly Celebrates 11th Annual Culturefest Oct. 26

SAN LUIS OBISPO – The Cal Poly MultiCultural Center presents the 11th annual Culturefest Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mitchell Park. The park is located on the corner of Pismo and Osos Streets in San Luis Obispo.

Culturefest is organized by the MultiCultural Center and student cultural clubs. More than 20 campus and community organizations will showcase their rich heritages with booths and displays. This year's theme is "USS Culturefest: Sea of Diversity." Visitors can enjoy music, dance, hands-on activities, entertainment, performances, and food. The goal of Culturefest is to spread cultural awareness and promote cultural appreciation in San Luis Obispo County.

The MultiCultural Center celebrates the diversity of Cal Poly's student body. Its mission is to empower students with the resources, skills, and opportunities necessary for academic achievement, leadership development, and purposeful civic engagement while providing a safe and welcoming "home away from home."

All MultiCultural Center events are free and open to the public. For more information, contact Ian Serrano or Renoda Campbell at 805-756-1405 or mcc@calpoly.edu,  or visit the MultiCultural Center website at http://multicultural.calpoly.edu.
