November 19, 2007 Contact: Dianna Peterson Cal Poly’s Gamma Phi Beta to Hold Pancake Breakfast and Eating Contest Dec. 1 SAN LUIS OBISPO – The Cal Poly Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta will hold its first annual “GHOP” pancake breakfast on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gamma Phi Beta house, 1326 Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo. The event is open to the public Members of Gamma Phi Beta will serve pancake breakfasts until noon and hold a pancake eating contest from noon to 1 p.m. Tickets for the all-you-can-eat breakfast are $8 at the door. The cost to participate in the pancake eating contest is $ 225 for each three-member team. All proceeds will benefit the Arroyo Grande chapter of CampFire USA, a non-profit organization providing co-ed children and youth programs featuring leadership development, after-school groups, camping and environment education and child care.
