Eyherabide appointed to judgeship in San Diego
Cal Poly alumna and San Diego Deputy District Attorney
Eugenia Eyherabide has been named to a San Diego Superior Court
judgeship. Eyherabide (Political Science, '81), 46, received her
law degree from the University of Santa Clara. She has been a deputy
district attorney in San Diego since 1995, and was an assistant
U.S. attorney in the District of Columbia from 1992 to 1995. She
and her colleagues in the District Attorney's Office have been featured
on the NBC program, "Crime and Punishment."

Mosbar is new president of California Farm Bureau
Cal
Poly alumnus Doug Mosebar (Ag Business '73) is the new president
of the California Farm Bureau Federation. Mosebar, 55, is the manager
of the 1,800-acre Gainey Ranch in the Santa Ynez Valley; he took
office as statewide CFB president in December. He was hired as an
assistant farm manager at Gainey Ranch in 1973, straight out of
Cal Poly. Mosebar is no stranger to ag industry leadership: he served
as president of Santa Barbara County Farm Bureau from 1987 to 1989;
and second vice president of state Farm Bureau from 1989 to 1997.
He served as first vice president of state Farm Bureau from 1997
to 2005.

McEnroe earns multiple 'Teacher of the Year' honors
A
Cal Poly alumna from Buellton has earned state and national awards
for her classroom teaching. Alumna Tina McEnroe was named California's
"2005 Outstanding Educator of the Year" by the California
Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom. As California's representative,
she went on to receive the United States Department of Agriculture's
2005 Excellence in Teaching about Agriculture Award. The agency's
highest teaching award, it is given annually to five teachers in
the United States.

Accounting grad Edwards named VP & CFO of CaseStack
Tracy Edwards (Business Administration, 1979) has
been named chief financial officer and vice president of CaseStack,
a Santa Monica-based corporation. Edwards, a CPA, has previously
served as CEO and CFO of Bell Industries, Inc., a publicly traded
company with distribution and manufacturing operations in electronics,
technology services, and industrial products. Prior to joining Bell,
Edwards was with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Los Angeles. In his new
position, he will be responsible for financial affairs of the company,
including its future growth, acquisitions and investments.

Bowman Named to VP of International Sales at computer network firm
Cal
Poly EE grad Mark Bowman (Electronic Engineering '87) has been named
Vice President for International Sales at Code Green Networks. Bowman
has served as vice president of sales and business development at
PointBase, managing director of sales development at Adaptec, and
at Oracle, he served as director of its worldwide partnership with
HP.

Engineering alum Smith receives prestigious award
Engineering alumnus and Cal Poly President's Cabinet
member Ron Smith (Electronic Engineering '83) was among three Northrop
Grumman honorees at the prestigious Black Engineer of the Year Awards.
The 20th annual BEYA conference was held in early February in conjunction
with Black History Month to honor the nation's best and brightest
engineers, scientists, executives and educators. Smith received
the Professional Achievement in Industry award.

1995 Ag Sci alumnus Erin Ferguson, 36, is now a cotton farmer and
chairman of the 2006 World Ag Expo in Fresno.

Navarro is working Wild Wonders with Animals
Jackie
Navarro (Environmental Biology '89) is making headlines for her
work with exotic animals at Wild Wonders, a five-acre animal compound
in Bonsall in Southern California. She created Zoofari, a non-profit
conservation-driven organization, nearly a decade ago. Navarro and
her partners are supporting various research and conservation projects
around the world, and working to provide permanent homes for abandoned
or displaced animals.

Alumna, San Luis Obispo tourism director Miller profiled
Lindsey Miller (Rec Admin '03) is the tourism director for the San
Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, and worked on bringing the recent
'Tour of California' bike race through town.
