Cal Poly Crops Club Offers Family Fun, Haunted Maze at Pumpkin Patch

SAN LUIS OBISPO -- The Cal Poly Crops Club pumpkin patch and corn maze is now open on weekends and has a series of Halloween events coming up this weekend and next.

The pumpkin patch and corn maze is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays Oct. 22 and Oct. 29.

The Crops Club is holding a Family Fun Day at the pumpkin patch Sunday, Oct. 23, from 1-5 p.m. at the U-Pick pumpkin patch and corn maze on campus.

Families can try the corn maze, pick out pumpkins, and enjoy pumpkin carving at the field. Pumpkins are for sale but the maze and carving activities are free.

Sunday, Oct. 30, the Crops Club is holding two “Haunted Corn Maze” events at the pumpkin patch from 6-9 p.m. The club will offer a spooky children’s haunted corn maze -- suitable for small children -- on part of the field, and a scarier haunted maze suitable for college and high school students and adults on the remaining half. Admission is free for children under 10 years old; $1 for everyone 10 and older.

To get to the pumpkin patch, take the Highway 1 to the Highland Drive entrance to campus. Follow the ‘U-Pick’ signs directing traffic left onto Mt. Bishop Road, and west on Mt. Bishop Road past the dairy to the pumpkin patch.

For details or questions, call club member Garrett Bishop at (760) 791-8309.
