Cal Poly Homecoming Blood Drive is Nov. 3
SAN LUIS OBISPO -- Cal Poly is hosting a Homecoming Blood Drive on campus Thursday, Nov. 3, challenging student teams to raise a collective 100 pints in donations.
The Tri-Counties Blood Bank will have two buses on the Cal Poly campus in front of Mott Gym from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to accept donations. Blood donors must be 17 or older, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health the day of the donation.
A Tri-Counties Blood Bank donor card, driver's license, passport, Social Security card, birth certificate or other suitable photo ID is required in order to donate. Snacks and beverages will be served. All donors will receive a T-shirt and will be automatically entered into a raffle for prizes around town. Those who cannot make the on-campus donation are still eligible for the raffle and will receive a T-shirt if they donate at the Tri-Counties Blood Bank Nov. 4. Donors do not have to be members of Homecoming teams or any club to donate; all students, faculty, staff and the public are welcome.
For details or to schedule a donation, contact Lana Smith at 705-6090 or lanasmith@gmail.com.
