Cal Poly Students Present 'Arts at the Arboretum'
Nov. 20
SAN LUIS OBISPO -- "Arts at the Arboretum" will be held
at Cal Poly's Leaning Pine Arboretum from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday,
Nov. 20. The free, fun, family event promotes local artists.
The event will feature children's art displays, live performances,
floral-design art, culinary art, photography, paintings, demonstrations,
plant sales, door prizes and other interpretations of art. All ages
are welcome to come and enjoy diverse forms of art in a natural
setting.
The Leaning Pine Arboretum has been featured twice in Sunset magazine.
The landscape includes plant collections from Australia, South Africa
and Chile. The arboretum is located directly across from the Horse
Unit on Via Carta, north of Campus Market on the Cal Poly campus.

Featured artists include reggae band DubSense, art provided by
the Orfeala Family and ASI Children's Center at Cal Poly, music
and photography by the Poly Christian Fellowship, floral artwork
by the Student Chapter of the American Institute of Floral Design,
exotic plant sales by Amazon Revival, pottery from the Cal Poly
Craft Center, chocolate designs by Cal Poly Professor Tom Neuhaus,
and many more.
