Cal Poly Students Present 'Arts at the Arboretum' Nov. 20

SAN LUIS OBISPO -- "Arts at the Arboretum" will be held at Cal Poly's Leaning Pine Arboretum from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20. The free, fun, family event promotes local artists.

The event will feature children's art displays, live performances, floral-design art, culinary art, photography, paintings, demonstrations, plant sales, door prizes and other interpretations of art. All ages are welcome to come and enjoy diverse forms of art in a natural setting.

The Leaning Pine Arboretum has been featured twice in Sunset magazine. The landscape includes plant collections from Australia, South Africa and Chile. The arboretum is located directly across from the Horse Unit on Via Carta, north of Campus Market on the Cal Poly campus. For photos and more information, visit http://crops.calpoly.edu/arboretum.html.

Featured artists include reggae band DubSense, art provided by the Orfeala Family and ASI Children's Center at Cal Poly, music and photography by the Poly Christian Fellowship, floral artwork by the Student Chapter of the American Institute of Floral Design, exotic plant sales by Amazon Revival, pottery from the Cal Poly Craft Center, chocolate designs by Cal Poly Professor Tom Neuhaus, and many more.
