Cal Poly Invites Community to Annual Rodeo

Bucking bulls and broncs, rodeo clowns and the crowning of the
2002 Rodeo Queen will all be a part of this year's annual 
Cal Poly Mustang Stampede Rodeo.

The rodeo, held in conjunction with the university's Open House
festivities, will run April 19-21. The competition features college-age
cowboys and cowgirls competing for silver buckles and all-around
saddles.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. April 19, at 4 p.m. April 20 and at noon
April 21. Tickets are $5 for children and students and $7 for adults,
and may be purchased at the gate or at the Cal Poly Athletics Ticket
Office, (805) 756-5806.

Rodeo events include bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding,
steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping, breakaway roping and calf
roping.
