Department Hosts Arboretum Tours, Spring Plant Sale April 27
Cal Poly's Horticulture and Crop Science Department
will hold tours of the Leaning Pine Arboretum and a spring plant sale
April 27.
Students will offer arboretum tours at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The
5-acre arboretum features plants from Australia, South Africa, the
Mediterranean basin, California and elsewhere, and offers many ideas
for Central Coast gardeners.
The department is also holding a spring plant sale from 8 a.m. to 3
p.m. at the arboretum. Landscape shrubs, flowering perennials, annual
color, succulents, herbs, ornamental grasses and more will be available.
Admission and parking are free. All proceeds support the development
and advancement of the Leaning Pine Arboretum. For details, call the

To get to the arboretum, use the Highland Drive entrance to campus on
Highway 1. Turn left on Via Carta (the third stop sign) and follow the
signs to the parking area.
