The Public Affairs Department officially launched the Cal Poly News Web
site today (Dec. 12).
Public Affairs posts all Cal Poly news releases on the site as they are
issued, and archives all news releases there, along with background
information, contact information and story tips for news media.
The Cal Poly News Web site also contains links to all of the
university's individual college web sites, as well as links to other
university Web pages that reporters may need, such as Cal Poly Arts, the
Academic Senate and Associated Students Inc.
The department designed the Cal Poly News Web site to provide current
news to local, statewide and national news media and to provide feature
story ideas and background information. But alumni, parents and the
public will also be able to use the Cal Poly News Web site to keep up
with what's going on at Cal Poly.
The Cal Poly News Web site also houses the Cal Poly Report, the
university's weekly newsletter for faculty and staff, and Cal Poly
Update, the university's monthly e-mail newsletter for alumni and
friends.
